Rishabh Pant created history, this happened for the first time in 148 years of Test history

Delhi: The fourth Test between India and England is being played at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester. In this match, Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has made a new record in the history of Test cricket. He has become the first wicketkeeper in the world to score 1000 Test runs on foreign soil. However, after this he was injured and had to leave the ground after retired.

Rishabh Pant broke his own record

Earlier this record was also named after Pant, when he scored 879 runs in Australia.

Now he has left his own record behind by scoring 1018* runs in England. Pant crossed this figure as soon as he scored the 19th run in his innings.

First day game

On the first day, India have scored 264 runs losing 4 wickets.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant innings of 58 and Sai Sudarshan 61 runs.
KL Rahul also scored 46 runs. But the biggest shock of the day came when Pant got the ball of Chris Woakes on his leg.

Pant wanted to play reverse sweep, but the ball hit the leg directly. He fell down with pain and lay down on the ground. He was taken out with the help of a stretcher and sent to the hospital for a scan. The scan report is being awaited.

India got a good start. Rahul and Jaiswal added 94 runs for the first wicket. Later Sai Sudarshan also showed a good game. However, in the second session, India lost some wickets early.

Then in the third session, the team batted carefully and added 115 runs after losing only 1 wicket. At the end of the day, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur returned unbeaten.

Rishabh Pant’s injury has definitely increased the concerns of Team India. Now everyone is eyeing whether he returns to bat again or not.
