NZ vs SA Final Playing 11: Mitchell Santner-led New Zealand will square off against Rassie van der Dussen-led South Africa in the finals of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series 2025 on July 26 at Harare Sports Club, Harare.
Santner’s side has been unbeaten in the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-series, which includes two wins against South Africa. On the other hand, South Africa has two wins out of four games in the series and will be aiming to bounce back to get a victory to clinch the series.
South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, Rassie van der Dussen said, “We are gonna bowl, the objective choice has been to bowl, it looks a bit drier. Three big seamers are playing today.”
(On whether two spinner are playing) “Yes, two spinners. We haven’t put in a complete performance, it’s an opportunity to make it right. If we put in a good 40 overs, we will be fine,” he concluded.
On the other hand, Mitchell Santner said, “It looks a very good track, we have to see what it does with the new ball and take it ahead. I think this one looks the best of the lot. We have done a lot of good stuff but today it’s the final. We can bank on the experiences that we have had on these kind of surfaces. We have four changes.”
