Overview:

Reddy was ruled out of India’s current Test series against England after suffering a knee injury while training in the gym.

India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has responded to the rumours surrounding his potential exit from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise. Recent reports suggested that the 22-year-old might be looking to leave SRH after being retained for INR 6 crore during the 2025 IPL auction.

His comments came after a report suggesting he was considering leaving the franchise due to dissatisfaction with his batting position, which was below his preferred number four spot. This was believed to be linked to his underwhelming performance in the IPL 2025 season, where he scored 182 runs in 13 games.

He took to social media to dismiss the rumours, stating that he has no intention of leaving SRH in the near future. He has been with the franchise for the past three IPL seasons and has only played for SRH in the tournament to date.

In addition, Reddy was ruled out of India’s current Test series against England after suffering a knee injury while training in the gym.

The 22-year-old had played in the second and third Tests but was expected to feature in the playing XI for the fourth Test at Old Trafford. Unfortunately, the injury has forced him to miss the fourth and fifth Tests, and it is unclear when he will be able to return to action.
