Former Zimbabwe international cricketer Guy Whittal miraculously survived the leopard attack. He was airlifted from the Buffalo Range in Zimbabwe, bleeding, to Harare, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Whittall's wife shared a photo on social media on Monday, in which one photo shows him covered in blood and the other photo is taken after treatment.

Whittall runs a safari business in Zimbabwe and The Daily Mail reports he was attacked by a leopard while trekking at the conservancy he runs in Humani, Zimbabwe.

All-rounder Whittall has played 46 Test and 147 ODI matches for Zimbabwe, in which he has scored 2207 and 2705 runs in his name. Apart from this, he has taken 51 wickets in Tests and 88 wickets in ODIs. Let us tell you that he played his debut match in ODI in the 1993 Hero Cup against Sri Lanka in Patna, Bihar.

This is not the first time Whittall has encountered a wild animal. Earlier in 2013, an 8-foot long crocodile was found hiding under Whittall's bed overnight. Whittall discovered during breakfast that a crocodile had been under his bed all night.
