The competition between India and England is intensifying, with both teams competing fiercely against each other. The statements are being made, and the players are not hesitating to sledge during the matches. England were ahead for most of the Manchester Test.

Still, the young Indian National Cricket Team managed to draw the contest, with captain Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar scoring hundreds in the second innings. There was also a vital contribution from the opening batter KL Rahul.

The 25-year-old Sundar was promoted in the batting order in place of injured Rishabh Pant, and he justified the trust shown in him.

England captain Ben Stokes wanted to end the contest early, but his request was turned down by Jadeja and Sundar, who wanted to complete their respective tons.

It led to verbal exchanges with Stokes and Zak Crawley going after the two batters. Former player WV Raman spoke to Hindustan Times about the issue.

“There is no suprising element as England players have been behaving in a similar fashion for ages. They gave the ball to Joe Root and Harry brook because they wanted to rest their main bowlers. It defies logic as Brydon Carse has already been rested. Out of 144 odd overs, he bowled just 17,” WV Raman said.

He opined on the mocking of Jadeja by Stokes and Crawley for scoring a hundred against Brook. “If you are talking about Jadeja getting a 100 against Brook, he played against Brook after negotiating all the main bowlers.

He doesn’t score a hundred against Harry Brook; he got a hundred against England. He played all the other bowlers and that too without any concerns. This is what we normally see from England when things don’t go their way,” he added.
