Jasprit Bumrah will spearhead Team India’s bowling attack in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma are favourites to bowl alongside Bumrah. However, former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu picked up two uncapped pacers for the global tournament.
“Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan of Lucknow Super Giants should be selected for the T20 World Cup. If I were the selector, I would have gone with these two names,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.
“Mayank Yadav has raw pace but knows how to bowl the right line and length. He was sensational in the two matches against Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. If he is fit, there is no better choice than him.
“Mohsin is a left-arm pacer India need. He is tall and gets the bounce from the wicket. His line and length can trouble any batter. Mohsin has bowled well in the IPL 2024,” he added.
Mayank, who has been battling injuries for the last two seasons, is sitting out of the Playing XI after picking up another injury against Gujarat Titans.
Mohsin has faced fitness issues in recent times.
