Samson is dissatisfied with the management of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and has requested either a trade or his release from the franchise.
Ravichandran Ashwin, India’s spin bowling legend, recently reacted in a humorous way to the ongoing trade rumours in the IPL. During a conversation with Sanju Samson, whose future with Rajasthan Royals (RR) has been a topic of speculation in recent days, Ashwin joked about being ready to trade himself directly.
A recent report from Cricbuzz indicates that Samson is dissatisfied with the management of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and has requested either a trade or his release from the franchise. Meanwhile, another report suggests that Ashwin and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) might part ways, with the spin legend potentially stepping down from his role as the Director of Operations at the CSK Academy.
In a teaser for the upcoming episode of Kutti Stories with Ash, Ashwin spoke to Samson about the IPL trade rumours.
“I have plenty of questions to ask, but before that, I thought I’d just come forward and trade myself. I’m happy to remain in Kerala. There have been many rumours, and Neither do I know of anything. So, I thought I’d reach out to you and ask you if I can stay in Kerala while you can travel back to Chennai,” Ashwin said.
The 38-year-old off-spinner was bought by CSK at the IPL 2025 auction for a significant 9.75 crore. However, his season was disappointing, as he only took seven wickets in nine matches.
