While CSK were leading the race to add Sanju to their squad, the chance of the wicketkeeper batter joining the five-time champions has taken a hit.
According to Cricbuzz, rr own manoj badle has asked for Ravidra Jadeja or Ruturaj Gaikwad for Samson. However, csk have said no.
“The letters are being exchanged between the owners. The trade with the Chennai Super Kings is likely to be called off after the Royals demanded Ravindra Jadeja or Ruturaj Gaikwad in exchange. Chennai are not ready,” the report said.
Rajasthan were willing to settle down with Shivam Dube, but the Super Kings were not interested in selling the all-rounder.
“Shivam Dube was also a part of the discussion but Chennai are not willing to part ways with the all-rounder. CSK officials don’t want to release any player. The much talked about move of Samson to Chennai is not happening unless CSK manage to convince RR or buy him in the auction,” the report added.
The report also revealed that Samson did not take RR’s decision to release Jos Buttler sportingly.
“Badale has also spoken to other teams about the players Rajasthan are keen on in exchange for Samson. RR are close to reaching an agreement with one of the teams.”
