With Sanju Samson’s possible exit from Rajasthan Royals increasing ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction, several reports claimed that the Chennai Super Kings (csk) showed interest in buying Sanju Samson.

However, new reports said that CSK quickly rejected the Rajasthan Royals’ offer to trade their captain for any one of three players – Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube or Ruturaj Gaikwad.

However, Chennai Super Kings did not agree to make move on the trade for any of Rajasthan’s three players.

The latest report says that Rajasthan Royals had named some specific players in exchange for Sanju Samson.

Manoj Bandale wanted Ruturaj Gaikwad, Jadeja or Shivam Dube. However, the five-time champions team refused to let go of any of them.

Because of this, Samson’s trade of joining Chennai is still uncertain unless CSK makes another offer or bids for Sanju Samson in the auction, the move is unlikely.

Few days ago, it is reported that Sanju Samson had formally asked Rajasthan Royals to release him or trade him. This was because of the dispute between him and franchise. With several reports stated Riyan Parag is the reason, the reason reveals unknown.

The main owner, Manoj Bandale personally contacted all the other nine IPL teams and led the talks himself.

It is also reported that Sanju Samson’s name is unlikely to appear in the auctio. Several franchises have already shown interest in signing him directly. He could still stay with Rajasthan. However, tensions has reportedly grown between the two sides over several issues, including the decisions to release Jos Buttler.

He joined Royals in 2013 when he made IPL debut. He was resigned by the team in the 2018 mega auction. Sanju Samson has amassed 177 appearances for the side, making him the player with the most appearances for the franchise.

He has scored 4704 at an average of 30.95 with the highest score being 119. The stylish right hander has three IPL centuries and 26 fifties, besides 86 catches, and 17 stumpings under his belt.
