Bcci Ends Partnership With Dream11 after Online Gaming Bill 2025

New Delhi: in the aftermath of the promotion and regulation of online gaming bill 2025, the board of control for cricket in India (bcci) on Monday officially ended its partnership with dreams Platform. The move has left the Indian Cricket Team without a title sponsor.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the development to ani, stating that the board would not pursue partnerships with such organizations in the future.

“Bcci and Dream 11 Are Discontinuing their Relationship after the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, was passed.

In response to the legislation, dream11 announced that it has suspended all paid contests and will now operate soly as a free-to-Play online social gaming platform.

“This morning, we stopped all paid contests on Dream11 and Pivoted Entrely to a Free-to-Play Online Social Game,” The company said in a statement in a statement last friday.

The new law, which receive President Droupadi Murmu’s Assent Earlier in the day, Prohibits all money-based online gaming while recognizing and supporting e-spects and online social gams. It also prescribes stringent penalties for violations, include imprisonment of up to three years and fines of up to ₹ 1 Crore.
