Delhi: India’s veteran Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara suddenly announced his retirement from all the formats on Sunday. 37 -year -old Pujara last played the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia in 2023 for the Indian team. After this, he did not get a chance again. He played 103 Tests and 5 ODIs for India, although he never got a chance to debut in T20 International.

Although Pujara could not make a big contribution for India in white ball cricket, he played an important role for the Indian team for more than 10 years in Test cricket. He played several memorable innings on domestic and foreign pitches. Pujara scored a total of 7195 Test runs in his career and left an indelible mark in Indian cricket history.
