SRH has decided to retain its 2025 -season leading players, including Pat Cummins, Heinrich Klassen, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Aniket Verma and Harshal Patel. These players are the backbone of both batting and all -round performance.
On the other hand, the franchise has released experienced players like Mohammed Shami, Adam Zampa, Bridan Karse, Ishaan Kishan and Abhinav Manohar before IPL 2026 (SRH IPL 2026), which has made a place for new players.
In the IPL 2026 auction, SRH’s focus will be on maintaining its strong core team and meeting important shortcomings. The team aims to meet the bowling options in the death overs and the needs of additional power-touch in the lower order.
The management plans to enter the auction with 16 players, including about 5 foreigners, to make the team stronger with the players in the team. Taking advantage of Right to Match card and targeted trades, SRH will try to form a balanced team.
SRH is also eyeing some important trades. Left -arm fast bowler and former death over specialist T. Natarajan may return. Nathan Ellis with more than 160 T20 matches experience can also be selected to bring stability to the bowling department.
