Delhi: Indian team's young batsman Shubhman Gill has achieved great success at a young age. The last year has been an important year of learning for Gill. He has cemented his place as India's No. 3 Test batsman and is now playing the role of captain for Gujarat Titans (GT) while his selection in Team India for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is under threat. However, Gill gives priority to his current responsibilities, such as scoring runs and winning matches.

24 year old Shubhman Gill while talking to News-18 said, “To be honest, I only think about my batting when I am batting and when I am not batting, I Don't really think about my batting, as far as captaincy is concerned, I think captaincy is on the field most of the time and my job as a captain is to make my players confident and feel safe before the match. Have to get it done. Give them confidence that when the pressure is on, they will be able to carry out those plans. This is my job as captain.”

What did Shubman Gill say about the performance of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024?

The right-handed batsman talked about his team in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). He said, “As a captain and a player I think now we are reaching the final stage of the tournament and I think as a team we are in a very balanced position. We are much calmer than we were at the beginning of the IPL and I think the way we are playing cricket in the last few matches is looking very good and I am very happy with it.”

At the same time, Gill dismissed any concerns while talking about T20 World Cup selection. He believes that by scoring runs continuously and helping the team win, everything will go well.
