India’s legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin Retirement has announced his retirement from Indian cricket. He gave information about this through a post on social media on Wednesday (August 27). Ashwin said that he also wants to attend other T20 leagues

Ashwin posted on his X account, “Special day and therefore a special beginning. It is said that every end is a new beginning, my time as an IPL cricketer is ending today, but my time as a explorer of the game in various leagues is starting today.

I want to thank all the franchisees for the brilliant memories and relationships of so many years, and the most important IPL and BCCI, who have given me what has given me so far. I am eager to enjoy it and take full advantage of it.

Let us know that in the auction of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings bought Ashwin for Rs 9.75 crore. Ashwin played nine matches in the season and took 7 wickets in his account.

Ashwin is at number five in the list of players taking the most wickets in the history of IPL. Ashwin has taken 187 wickets in 217 innings of 221 matches.

Significantly, Ashwin retired from international cricket in the middle of the tour of Australia in late December 2024.
