Shubman Gill on T20 World Cup Selection : Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has given a big reaction regarding the T20 World Cup selection in IPL 2024. When he was asked a question about his place in the team, he said that if for some reason he is not selected in the Indian team, then he will stay at home and support the team.

Actually, Shubman Gill's performance in IPL 2024 has been mixed. So far he has scored 304 runs in 9 matches and his average is 38. In some matches, Gill performs very well and in some matches he flops badly.

I scored 900 runs last year – Shubman Gill

Questions are constantly being raised regarding Shubman Gill's place in the T20 World Cup. When Gill was asked about this during a conversation on Sports Tak, he said,

When it comes to my selection, I scored 900 runs in the IPL last year. However, despite this, if my name does not appear in the team, then I can do only one thing. I will cheer for the players who will be selected in the team and wish them all the best.

Let us tell you that earlier, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull had also said that Shubman Gill's place in the Indian team is not confirmed yet. During a conversation on Cricbuzz he said,

Shubman Gill's place in the T20 World Cup team has not been confirmed yet. When you select the team, you will select only one batsman as extra top order. There is only one place left for you and if this happens then that replacement will be KL Rahul. The reason for this is that he also does wicketkeeping and this is a bonus for the team. Shubman Gill is unable to keep. If Shubman Gill is not able to make a place in the team ahead of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, then he will not be selected in the T20 World Cup.
