Joy Bhattacharya on Cricbuzz said the decision to appoint Rohit Sharma as India's captain for the T20 World Cup could spell trouble for the team. At the moment, Rohit Sharma is not an ideal choice to lead the team in the T20 format. I respect Rohit Sharma a lot and think he is a wonderful cricketer. However, he is currently out of form.

Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are currently in good form and are strong contenders to open. As Sharma is the captain, he will play the opener, which means one of the in-form players will have to bat in the lower order or be left out of the playing eleven.
