United Arab Emirates (UAE) cricket team captain Muhammad Waseem etched his name in the history books and broke the world record of Indian cricket legend Rohit Sharma despite his team's 39-run defeat to Afghanistan in the ongoing T20I tri-series.
Chasing a total of 189, Waseem led a long fight for the hosts with a flamboyant knock of 67 in just 37 balls, which included four boundaries and six maximums. The innings came at a strike-rate of 181.08. While Rahul Chopra also scored a half-century, UAE collapsed after Waseem's departure and went from 90-3 to 122-8, but managed to end with 150 runs on the board
