Delhi: South Africa’s domestic T20 League SA20 auctions saw a thrilling scene in Johannesburg on Monday. There was a strong battle between the franchisees for many big players, but the most headlines were made by 22 -year -old young batsman Dewald Brevis.

Rain of money fiercely on Brevis

Recently, all the teams showed interest to buy Bravis who performed brilliantly in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Australia. In the end, Pretoria Capitals won the biggest bid. The team spent 16 million rands (about Rs 8.06 crore) to put Brevis in its bag.

The most expensive player in the history of Sa20

With such a big bid, Bravis has become the most expensive player of the SA20 League so far. Apart from him, the franchises of South Africa’s T20 team Aidan Markram also bets fiercely and they were bought for a hefty amount. Durban Super Giants bought him for a record amount of Rs 7 crore, which is the second largest bid of the SA20 so far.

Record registration, 541 players in auction

More than 500 players participated in this auction on 9 September, including 300 South Africa cricketers. This time more than 800 players had registered for the auction, which is the highest in the history of the tournament. Of these, 541 players were included in the final list. In such a situation, 300 domestic and 241 foreign players tried their luck in the auction.
