The claim cannot be rejected on the basis of not giving information about other policies. The case is to the order of 20 February of Balotra District Commission. The insurance company had filed an appeal saying that the insured had mentioned only a policy taken from LIC while taking the policy from the Tata AIA, while it had also taken insurance from four private companies. On this basis, there was a demand to dismiss the claim.

In such a situation, it is unfair to dismiss the claim by the company.

The Commission said that the insured had mentioned one of the former policies, which is sufficient. The claim cannot be dismissed on the basis of not giving information about other policies. Therefore, the insurance company will have to pay the entire amount with interest and compensation.
