Delhi: Team India’s young left -handed batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has finally broken his silence when he was dropped from the Asia Cup 2025 team. Yashasvi said that these decisions are responsible for the selectors and they can only work hard and do what is under their control.

When the team was announced for the Asia Cup, many fans expressed their displeasure at not being elected Yashasvi and Shreyas Iyer. When the chairman of the selectors Ajit Agarkar announced the team, Shubman Gill returned and he was also made a vice-captain. With this, Sanju Samson had to come down in the batting order.

Talking to Mashable India, Yashasvi said, “I do not think about it. All this happens in the hands of the selectors. The decisions are taken by looking at the team’s combination. I can only work hard and make myself better. When my time comes, everything will be right. I will only work on myself.”

Yashasvi, who has now proved himself as an opener in the Test team, said that he was always confident that he would do something big.

He said, “I always believed that I will do something big. I will never stop. I will keep working hard.”

So far, Yashasvi has scored 723 runs in 23 T20 International matches at an average of 36.15 and a strike rate of 164.31. At the same time, in IPL 2025 too, he scored 559 runs in 14 matches, in which his strike rate was 159.71. Now he will be seen playing in a two -Test series against the West Indies from October 2, which will start at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
