He is undergoing rehabilitation process at BCCI's Center of Excellence in Bangalore. So far, he has not received the green signal from BCCI's medical team regarding fitness. This is the reason that he has not been able to start batting and wicketkeeping practice yet.
As soon as they get clearance from the medical team, they will start cricket practice. But due to less than 2 weeks of time in the Test series, they will not be able to be fully prepared for this.The situation is not clear at the moment when 27 -year -old Rishabh Pant will return to India.
