India A vs Australia A: Abhishek Sharma will play ODI series, not in Virat-Rohit team, Shreyas Iyer Captain

India a squad: India A has to play ODI series against Australia-A from 30 September, for which the team has been announced.

The selectors have handed over the captaincy to Shreyas Iyer in the ODI series while Abhishek Sharma has also joined the squad. Abhishek Sharma will be seen playing in the second and third ODIs. It is believed that Abhishek Sharma can also get a place in Team India for the ODI series against Australia. By the way, the big news is also that both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not named in the team. There were reports that Team India's selection committee wants both Virat and Rohit play for India A before the tour of Australia, but now both are not in the team.

Big names like Rajat Patidar, Rituraj Gaekwad, Ishaan Kishan are missing from India-A ODI team and the reason is the Iranian Cup. Actually the Iranian Cup is also starting from October 1 and these players are part of the Rest of India Squad. The Rest of India Squad captained Rajat Patidar and the vice -captain Rituraj has become Gaikwad.
