At the same time, Ravindra Jadeja has got the vice -captain of the team.
Rishabh Pant is still not fully fit. He suffered a toe injury in the England series. In such a situation, Ravindra Jadeja has been made vice -captain in his absence. Dhruv Jurlel and N Jagdishan have been given a place in the team as wicketkeeper.
World No. 1 Test bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has also returned to the team. At the same time, Shreyas Iyer will not be a part of this series. He has taken a six -month break from red ball cricket.
The first Test match between India and West Indies will be played in Ahmedabad from 2 to 6 October. After this, the second Test will be held in Delhi from 10 to 14 October.
