New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin on Chiursday Became the First High-Profile Indian Cricketer to join the big Bash League, Signing with Sydney Thunder.

Ashwin, who recently retired from the Indian Premier League, is now free to participate in T20 Leagues Worldwide. The Veteran Off-Spinner Had also Announced His Retirement from International Cricket during India’s Australia Tour Last Year.

The 39-year-old will be available for the second half of the bbl, scheduled to run from December 14 to January 25.

“Thunder was crystal clear about how they use med me and brave enough to back it. My conversations with the Leadership was excelleent, and we’re full aligned on my Role,” Adwin was quoted as saying Cricket.com.au.

“I love how dave warner plays the game, and it’s always better when your leader shares your mindset. I can’t wait to perform for the thunder nation.”

Thunder General Manager Trent Copland Called It The Biggest Signing in BBL History.

“I think it’s arguably the biggest signing in bbl history – First Indian legend and an icon of the game,” copland said.

Ashwin has also entered the ult20 auction, and following its conclusion on January 4, he will join the thunder for the latter part of the season.
