New Zealand’s Flora Devonshire has been ruled out of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka due to a hand injury.

The White Ferns revealed on Saturday that Hanna Rowe, a fast-bowling all-rounder, will replace the youngster and is set to join the squad next week.

Devonshire sustained a laceration to her left hand when fielding during training. She is expected to take two to three weeks to heal. Yet to make her ODI debut, she had impressed the national setup with her domestic performances.

Her replacement, Rowe, has played in two ODI World Cups before and has represented New Zealand in 60 ODIs.

New Zealand’s next game is against South Africa on October 6.
