New Zealand captain Sophie Devine won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa in the seventh match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.
“We going to bat first. The pitch looks good and didn’t change much in the previous match. We’re aware of how dangerous South Africa’s bowling attack can be. There’s been some rain earlier. We’re sticking with the same team,” Sophie said.
Laura Wolvaardt is not worried after the losing the toss.
“Don’t mind it too much. I am fine with chasing. We’ve taken our lessons from the last game. Obviously, a quick turnaround, which is actually good thing to come and start the tournament properly again,” Laura Said.
