Mohammad Siraj told how MS Dhoni’s advice taught him to deal with trolls. Siraj spoke openly on his struggle, memory of father and thinking of changing fans. Now he only gives importance to the opinion of the team and family and focuses on the performance.
Delhi: Team India fast bowler Mohammad Siraj is one of the best bowlers in today’s time. However, the journey of Siraj was not easy. This journey started from the streets of Hyderabad, now has reached a great performance in both Test and ODI. But, trolls also targeted him several times on social media. Siraj says that now he does not mind because he has taken out one thing of former veteran captain MS Dhoni from his heart.
Siraj said, “When I first came to India team, Dhoni Bhai said, ‘Don’t get into someone’s words. When you do well, everyone will be together. When you play badly, they will abuse the same people.”
The fast bowler further said, “If you play well in a match, then people will say that no one is better than this. If the next match gets spoiled, then the same people will say, ‘Go run auto with their father’. Meaning in one match, the hero and the other do not matter to all of them.
Siraj still remembers this thing today. They say that now they do good or bad, always try to keep themselves calm.
Siraj’s father used to drive an auto. His father died before Siraj’s first Test series against Australia. Despite this, Siraj did not give up and made his debut in Australia. In that series, he not only proved himself but also took command of the team’s fast bowling in the absence of the injured players.
In view of Siraj’s form, he has been selected in the ODI team for Australia Tour. Jasprit Bumrah has been given rest, in such a situation, Siraj will be more responsible. Earlier, he will take to the second Test against the West Indies at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from 10 October. Siraj would like to do another good performance against Roston Chase’s team.
