Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday gave a big comment about cricket and other sports. The court said that the time has come when the court should not interfere in matters to cricket or any sports. A bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta said this during the hearing of a petition. This petition was associated with a Cricket Association of Jabalpur division of Madhya Pradesh, in which the order of the High Court was challenged.

Court commented on cricket

During the hearing, Judge Vikram Nath said, “Now there is nothing like sports in cricket. Now it has become a completely business.” He jokingly said that today we are playing cricket in court. Today many cases to cricket are in hearing. One has already been postponed for the second round. This is the second case and there are two more left. He asked how many Test matches will we play today?

On this, the petitioner’s counsel said that there is a passion for cricket in the country. On this, Justice Nath said that now the court should avoid interfering in sports cases like cricket, badminton, volleyball and basketball. He said that when a sports commercialization is done, then such cases are decided because the interests of many people are added to it.

The court made it clear that it is not willing to hear this petition. After this, the petitioner’s counsel sought permission to withdraw the petition, which the court gave.
