Tazmin Brits scored a hundred as South Africa secured a six-wicket win over New Zealand in the ICC Women’s World Cup. Chasing 231, the Proteas completed the chase in 40.5 overs.

Sune Luus hit a fifty for the Women in Green. Earlier, the White Ferns had the opportunity to post 270-280, but the sudden batting collapse restricted them to 231 in 47.5 overs.

Sophie Devine was the top scorer, amassing 85 runs off 98 balls. Brooke Halliday managed 45 runs off 37 deliveries, but her dismissal in the 39th over started the collapse.

Nonkululeko Mlaba took 4 wickets and conceded just 40 runs from her 10 overs. New Zealand have lost two consecutive matches while South Africa have won one and lost one so far in the global tournament.
