Every time Smriti Mandhana, the vice-captain and star opener of the Indian women's cricket team, comes on the field with the bat, she creates some new record.

Although the start of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 was not good for her, here too, whenever runs came from her bat, some record was made. In this list, Smriti did a miracle which had never happened before in the history of women's cricket. Smriti, who played a strong innings in the World Cup match against Australia, completed one thousand runs in ODI cricket this year and became the first batsman to do so.

Team India came out to bat first in this important match on Sunday 12 October in Visakhapatnam.

Obviously all the focus was on Mandhana because she did not bat in the last three matches. Despite getting a start, she was not even able to touch the 50 mark. But as soon as the Australian team came in front, the stylish left-handed batsman started showing her magic. Mandhana, who scored runs in the ODI series against Australia just before the World Cup, continued this trend in the World Cup as well.
