In the thrilling eliminator match of National Cricket T10 League 2025, Los Angeles Waves defeated Atlanta Kings by 34 runs. In this high-voltage match played on the grounds of Texas University Dallas, Waves batted first and scored 96 runs losing seven wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Kings' batting was reduced to 62 runs for nine wickets in 10 overs. With this victory, Waves confirmed their place in the finals. A scary incident was also seen during this match, where the batsman narrowly escaped getting seriously injured.

During this match, Atlanta Kings batsman Rahkeem Cornwall narrowly escaped. Actually, while batting for Atlanta Kings, Rahkeem Cornwall got hit by a bouncer. A sharp bouncer from Los Angeles Waves fast bowler Rumman Raees went straight into the grill of Rahkeem Cornwall's helmet. The ball was very close to Cornwall's eye. But it was fortunate that the grill of the helmet did not break, due to which the ball did not hit his eye and he was saved from getting injured. The video of this incident is now going viral on social media.

Strong game from Los Angeles Waves

Talking about the match, Los Angeles Waves performed amazingly. Batting first, opener George Munsey batted in a stormy style. He played an explosive inning of 40 runs in just 16 balls, which included five fours and three sixes. Along with him, Ali Nadeem contributed 29 runs in 23 balls, in which he hit three fours. Both of them made a partnership of 51 runs for the first wicket, which proved to be the turning point of the match. Due to this partnership, Los Angeles Waves scored 96 runs in 10 overs.

But the innings of Atlanta Kings to chase the target faltered from the very beginning. Opener Rahkeem Cornwall played an innings of 17 runs in 14 balls, which included two fours and a six, but the rest of the batsmen could not even get a start. Due to which the entire team could score only 62 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 10 overs and lost the match by 34 runs.
