New Zealand Squad for T20 Series vs England: New Zealand has announced the T20 series against England. The biggest thing is that once again Kane Williamson has not got a place in the team. The question is why? 7 months have passed since Kane Williamson was out of the team. He played his last international match against India in March this year in the final of Champions Trophy 2025. But, since then he has not been able to return to the New Zealand team. Kane Williamson has not got a place in the 14-man team selected for the T20 series against England.

Why is Kane Williamson not included in the team?

Now a big update has come out regarding Kane Williamson not being selected in the T20 team even against England. New Zealand head coach Rob Walter said that Kane had to undergo a mild medical problem last month. In such a situation, the team management wants him to be completely physically fit before joining the team. He further said that Kane Williamson is a world class player. We hope that he will be seen returning to the New Zealand team during the ODI series against England and then the tour of West Indies.

Captain returned

Apart from Kane Williamson, New Zealand's regular T20 team captain Mitchell Santner has recovered from a stomach injury and returned to the team for the series against England. After recovering from facial injury, Rachin Ravindra has also returned to the team selected for the T20 series against England. Both these players were out of the last series against Australia.

This player is not available for selection

Apart from these changes, New Zealand has selected most of its players who were seen playing in the series against Australia. There were some players who were unavailable for selection due to some injury or the other. These players include Finn Allen (foot), Adam Milne (ankle), Will O'Rourke (back), Glenn Phillips (groin) and Lockie Ferguson (hamstring).
