Vishmi Gunaratne is one of the brightest young talents in Sri Lankan Cricket, already showcasing maturity beyond her years at the top of the order. She made her ODI debut on 4 July 2022 against India and has since become a regular feature in the national side.

In 25 ODIs to date, she has scored 567 runs, including her maiden century — a fluent 101.

Domestically, she caught everyone’s attention in April 2022 when she smashed an extraordinary 417 off 128 balls for Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, one of the highest individual scores in Sri Lankan girls’ cricket.
