Kuldeep Yadav was named the Player of the Match for his eight-wicket haul in the second Test against the West Indies. He picked up five wickets in the first essay and three in the second innings. Kuldeep Yadav was given a chance in the Playing XI after a long time, having been benched for five matches in England.

The team management over the years hasn’t given him enough games, and despite making his debut in 2017, he has played just 15 red-ball contests.
