Delhi: Afghanistan registered a big win of 200 runs in the third ODI against Bangladesh and won the series 3-0. This match was played on 14 October at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. After Ibrahim Zadran’s inning of 95 runs and Mohammad Nabi’s stormy unbeaten inning of 62 runs, fast bowler Bilal Sami, who was returning, took five wickets and all out Bangladesh for just 93 runs.

Afghanistan’s brilliant batting

After winning the toss, Hashmatullah Shahidi decided to bat first. Ibrahim Zadran got a lease of life in the third over when Mohammad Naim dropped his catch. Rahmanullah Gurbaz started the attack with the new ball and Taneer Islam ended his innings of 44 runs in the 16th over. Zadran completed his fifty in 61 balls. Sediqullah Atal scored 29 runs, but was caught and bowled out in the 32nd over. Shahidi also returned to the pavilion in the very next over.

Zadran was run out on 95 runs. His innings included seven fours and two sixes. After this, wickets kept falling continuously. Mohammad Nabi changed gears in the last overs and completed his fifty in 35 balls. He scored 62 runs in 37 balls, which included three fours and four sixes. Afghanistan scored 293/9 runs in 50 overs.

Bilal and Rashid defeated Bangladesh team

Bangladesh had a bad start while chasing the target of 293 runs. Only opener Saif Hasan could last for some time. He scored 43 runs in 54 balls. Bilal Sami bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets. Rashid Khan also took three wickets in his name. The entire Bangladesh team was reduced to 93 runs in just 27.1 overs.
