India vs West Indies 2nd Test HIGHLIGHTS: India won the second Test by 7 wickets, thus clinching the series against West Indies by 2-0. This marks Shubman Gill's first series win as India captain.

After opting to bat first, India got off to a terrific start with Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul stitching a half-century opening stand. Rahul departed for a well-made 38. Jaiswal continued his onslaught with Sai Sudharsan in tow, as India went into lunch at 94/1 and 220/1 at tea.

After lunch, Jaiswal continued his onslaught as he brought up his half-century. He then went on to stitch a century stand with Sai Sudharsan for the second wicket. Jaiswal then raced past his seventh Test hundred, while Sudharsan hit his maiden Test fifty for India, but missed out on his maiden century after getting out on 87 runs. Later, captain Shubman Gill joined Jaiswal in the middle and both returned unbeaten at stumps with 318/2 on board.

On Day 2, Yashasvi Jaiswal got out early due to a horrific runout on 175. However, it was captain Shuibman Gill who carried on the momentum as he raced to yet another century, slamming 129. India declared at 518/2.

India got an early breakthrough as he took the wicket of John Campbell. After that, Alick Athanaze and Tagenarine Chanderpaul frustrated the Indian bowling with a patient half-century stand. Jadeja then struck again as he removed Chanderpaul. After that West Indies lost two more quick wickets. West Indies ended Day 2 on 140/3, with a trail of 378 runs.

On Day 3, India bowled out West Indies on 248 runs with the help of a stunning fifer from Kuldeep Yadav. India put West Indies under a follow-on as expected. However, centuries from John Campbell and Shai Hope helped the Windies make a slight comeback in the match. They finally took a lead of 120 runs, setting a target of 121 at the end of Day 4.

On Day 5, it was KL Rahul who scored a calm 58 and helped India chase the total down with 7 wickets to spare.
