Delhi: There was a lot of uproar on social media after an episode in the show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Many people expressed their displeasure over the behavior of Ishit Bhatt, a class five student from Gandhinagar, Gujarat. During the show, Ishit’s words and style seemed rude towards Amitabh Bachchan to some viewers, due to which he started getting trolled on social media. After this, Indian cricketer Varun Chakraborty came to the rescue of that child.

Users trolled Ishit on social media

In the show, Ishit said, “I know the rules, so don’t explain to me” and then during a question said,
“Lock one or four, but lock it.”

At the end of the show, Ishit could not win any prize after giving a wrong answer to a question. The question was – Which is the first Kanda of Valmiki Ramayana? Ishit gave the answer Ayodhya incident, whereas the correct answer was Baal incident.

Amitabh Bachchan also explained to Ishit at that time and said, “Sometimes children make mistakes due to overconfidence.”

As soon as the video went viral, many people raised questions about Ishit’s upbringing, behavior and the pressure of reality shows on children. Some even made indecent comments.

Indian cricketer Varun Chakravarthy was angered by the trolling and tweeted, “Social media has now become a place for people who say things without thinking. For God’s sake, he’s a child!! Let him grow up!! If you can’t tolerate a child, then imagine the society still tolerating many more with such lunatics like those commenting on this child!”

After this statement of Varun, the debate also started that what precautions should be taken before showing children in TV shows, and what responsibility should be taken on social media regarding children.
