With their latest defeat, India’s semi-final hopes have taken another hit. England are the third team to make it to the semi-finals, leaving India and New Zealand to compete for the remaining spot.
Some of the fans crossed all the limits, urging the players to go back to the kitchen. The BCCI’s investment in women’s cricket was also questioned.

“Criticism of their performance is warranted. There’s no justification for trolling anyone ever,” he wrote.
India will play two more matches in the group stage of the global tournament. They will face New Zealand and Bangladesh in their remaining fixtures. Both New Zealand and India are on 4 points from 5 matches, and they have a chance to claim the semi-final spot.
