According to sources associated with the team, Hussain will reach Dhaka by the night of 20 October and join the team. After facing defeat by 74 runs in the first ODI, the West Indies team is taking this step towards strengthening its bowling.

BCB official confirmed

A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official told Cricbuzz that Akeel is expected to join the team tonight. Earlier, BCB had also included left arm spinner Nasum Ahmed in its team. This decision was taken after the impressive performance of the spinners in the first ODI played at Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Ramon Simmonds gets his first chance

24-year-old fast bowler Ramon Simmonds has been included in the West Indies ODI team for the first time. Simmonds has played two T20 International matches before this. According to reports, experienced all-rounder Jason Holder will join the team on October 21 and is expected to play in the T20 International series.
