New Delhi, 21 October (Read News). Prime Minister Narendra Modi has heartily congratulated Sanae Takaichi on being elected as the Prime Minister of Japan. In the congratulatory message, he has expressed his commitment to further strengthen the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan.
Prime Minister Modi wrote in a post on ‘X’, “Hearty congratulations to Sanae Takaichi, on your election as Prime Minister of Japan. I look forward to working closely with you to further strengthen the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership. Our deepening relations are important for peace, stability and prosperity in the entire Indo-Pacific and beyond.”
It is noteworthy that today on October 21, Takaichi was elected the 104th Prime Minister of Japan by 237 votes in the lower house of the Parliament. Earlier on October 4, he was elected LDP leader after his victory over Shinjiro Koizumi in the by-election.
