The match ended in a tie and the result was decided in the Super Over, where West Indies won the match by scoring 10 runs. Bangladesh team could score only 9 runs in the super over. With this victory, the three-match series has now reached a level of 1-1.
After winning the toss and batting first, Bangladesh team scored 213 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. The pitch proved to be quite challenging for the batsmen. On behalf of the team, Soumya Sarkar scored the highest score of 45 runs, while Rishad Hussain contributed 39 runs and Mehdi Hasan Miraj contributed 32 runs. Gudakesh Moti was the most successful bowler for West Indies, taking three wickets.
Chasing the target of 214 runs, the West Indies team could only score 213 runs after losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. Captain Shai Hope played a responsible innings and scored a half-century, while Casey Carty added 35 runs.
West Indies needed 5 runs in the last over to win, but the exciting turn in the match came when Akil Hussain did not score any runs on the first two balls. The third and decisive match will now decide the winner of the series, due to which the match between the two teams is going to be even more interesting.
