The first match of the five-match T20 series between India and Australia was to be played today i.e. on October 29, but this match was canceled due to rain. Incessant rain disrupted the match several times, resulting in only 9.4 overs of play being possible. This match was ultimately canceled, leaving the fans disappointed.

Great start for Team India, but rain ended the game
The sky remained cloudy throughout the day and it rained repeatedly during the match. Due to this the number of overs was reduced in the beginning itself. Australia won the toss and gave India the chance to bat first. The Indian team made a great start and scored 97 runs at the loss of 1 wicket in just 9.4 overs. Both Shubhman Gill (37 runs) and captain Suryakumar Yadav (39 runs) were looking in good form, but the rain once again showed its effect and it was not possible to carry the game forward.

When is the next match?
After the first match was canceled due to rain, both the teams are now eyeing the second match of the series, which will be played in Melbourne on October 31. Fans are hoping that the weather remains clear in Melbourne and both the teams can play a great match.
