Ranchi: Ranchi is all set to host the fourth South Asian Senior Athletics Championship-2025. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will inaugurate the three-day championship at Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi at 6 pm. In this championship which will run till October 26, 206 athletes from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives will show their talent. A total of 111 medals in 37 events will be at stake in this three-day championship.

The petition challenging the election of Manika MLA Ramchandra Singh was rejected, Jharkhand High Court gave its decision in record time.
After the inauguration, the events of the first day will start at 7.30 pm. There will be 11 events till 10.30 pm on the first day. This includes 100 meter men’s, 100 meter women’s, triple jump men’s and women’s, shot pull men’s and women’s, 5000 meter. There are men’s and women’s, mixed relay etc. On the second day the competition will run from 7 pm to 8.40 pm and on the last day the competition will run from 7 pm to 10.45 pm. Its live telecast will be on DD Sports and YouTube. Free entry has been arranged for the spectators.
