Moradabad, 01 November (Read). Katghar police station of Moradabad on Saturday arrested a 12-year-old minor accused of raping a five-year-old girl and presented him in the court from where he was sent to the Government Juvenile Observation Home. The police examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed near the incident site and identified the accused.

On Wednesday evening, a five year old daughter was playing outside the house in a locality of Police Station Katghar. During this time the girl had gone missing. After some time, the girl was found lying in a bloody condition in a house under construction at a distance of 100 meters. She was raped. The police had registered a case against unknown people in this matter. Katghar police station in-charge Vinod Kumar said that when the footage of CCTV cameras in the neighborhood of the incident site was scrutinized, it was found that a 12-year-old child living in the neighborhood was seen nervously coming from the direction of the under-construction house. After this, when the police interrogated him strictly, he confessed that he had raped the 5 year old daughter.
