Women’s ODI World Cup 2025: Meet Team India’s coaching group and support staff

India will take on South Africa for top honours at the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 during the final held at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.

Both teams have a shot at breaking their duck and winning their first ever ODI World Cup trophy.

Ahead of the final let’s look at the key members who work in the background of the Indian women’s cricket team:

Amol Muzumdar – Head coach & Batting Coach

Amol Muzumdar was appointed as the head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team in October 2023. The former cricketer previously played for Mumbai, Assam and Andhra Pradesh. He has also served as a batting coach for the India Under-19 cricket team and the India U-23 cricket team, among many other roles.

Aavishkar Salvi – Bowling coach

Aavishkar Salvi is a former Indian cricketer who represented Mumbai and played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the Indian Premier League. The pacer oversaw Pondicherry and Punjab before being appointed bowling coach of the Indian women’s cricket team during the 2024 South Africa series.

Munish Bali – Fielding coach

Munish Bali has been with the Indian women’s senior side since 2022. The former India Women Under-19 fielding coach previously led Punjab U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 teams. Bali was the assistant coach with the 2008 World Cup-winning India U-19 team and the Indian women’s cricket team in 2011 and 2012.

Anand Date – Fitness coach

Anand Date is a Strength and Conditioning (S&C) coach who has worked with the BCCI for over 12 years, most recently with the Indian women’s cricket team. Based at the NCA in Bengaluru, he has previously worked with the men’s national team.

Aniruddha Deshpande – Performance Analyst

Aniruddha Desphande is a Performance Analyst with the BCCI, India women’s cricket team and Vidarbha Cricket Association. He was a former Vidarbha U-19 cricketer.

Akanksha Satyavanshi – Team Physiotherapist

Akanksha Satyavanshi has been a team physiotherapist with BCCI for over five years and is currently with the Indian women’s cricket team. She has also served as team physio for Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League in 2023.

Harini Murali – Team doctor

Harini Murali served as the team doctor of the Indian women’s cricket team. She has previously worked as the team doctor and manager with the WPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru for all three seasons.
