Mitigation fee of ₹3.92 lakh will be collected
Auraiya, 02 November (Read). Under the direction of the Superintendent of Police in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, a special campaign was conducted in the Bidhuna police station area on late Saturday evening under the traffic month of November with the aim of controlling crime and strengthening the traffic system in the entire district. During this period, strict action was taken against buses parked incorrectly on the road and drivers violating traffic rules.
The campaign was jointly led by SDM Bidhuna, Area Officer Bidhuna, ARTO (Administration/Enforcement), Inspector-in-charge Bidhuna and Traffic In-charge. The team conducted intensive checking on the major routes of Bidhuna area and took immediate action against the bus drivers who did not follow the rules.
During the campaign, a total of 09 buses were stopped and challan was issued to 07 buses. For violation of traffic rules, a compounding fee of ₹ 3,92,000 (three lakh ninety two thousand rupees) was fixed, which will be recovered under the legal process.
Officials said that the objective of this campaign is to promote road safety and stop wrong parking, overloading and illegal bus operation. While these actions will reduce road accidents, the general public will also benefit from smooth traffic.
SDM Bidhuna said that this campaign will continue further and no driver ignoring traffic rules will be spared. He appealed to the vehicle owners to keep all the necessary documents with them and follow the rules laid down on the road.
