Once more Jaipur’s legendary Nahargarh Fort is attracting the attention of the public after the Jaipur Wax Museum is ready with a wax figure of the Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur. The lighting of the lamp will open the figure, as a tribute on March 8, 2026, International Women’s Day.

A tribute to courage, confidence, and women’s empowerment for Harmanpreet Kaur

Museum founder Anup Srivastava said Harmanpreet’s statue will not only celebrate her sporting excellence but also stand as a symbol of courage, determination, and confidence for Indian women.

“The purpose of our museum is not just to showcase famous personalities, but to honor those who inspire society,” Srivastava said. “Harmanpreet has proved that women are in no way behind men on any platform.”

With her addition, the Jaipur Wax Museum will now feature two World Cup-winning captains — MS Dhoni from men’s cricket and Harmanpreet Kaur from women’s cricket. Their statues will stand beside those of legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, continuing to draw thousands of visitors each year.

Besides, the record added it is an initiative that felicitates cricket and is a tribute to womanhood. The museum, so far, has honored such doting stars like Kalpana Chawla, Saina Nehwal, Mother Teresa, Rajmata Gayatri Devi, and Hadi Rani. The inclusion of Harmanpreet is, thus, another landmark in the museum’s journey towards celebrating women empowerment in contemporary India.

The beginning of work on Harmanpreet’s statue has been confirmed by the museum officials. It will show her look in the 2025 Women’s World Cup, and the technology to reconstruct the figure will be used to capture the most powerful part of her stance, along with the expression and the face, in the figure’s closest to life with brilliant detail.

At present, there are nearly 45 wax figures of the members of the royal family of Rajasthan, historical characters, national heroes, and the achievers of the present times, inside Jaipur Wax Museum. The museum is located at Sheesh Mahal of Nahargarh Fort and is very popular for its beautiful interiors that are decorated with almost 2.5 million pieces of glass.

The wax figure of Harmanpreet Kaur will be more than just a celebration of Indian cricket history. It will be a significant contribution to the Jaipur’s cultural and artistic heritage. The statue would be there forever as a token that the real triumph is not in trophies, but in the qualities like self-belief, love for work and pride, which incidentally have been the cornerstones of Harmanpreet’s character both on and off the field.
