The Andhra Pradesh government is giving special rewards to Indian cricketer Shree Charani for her role in the Women in Blue’s success in the World Cup 2025. She will get INR 2.5 crore cash, a Group-I government job, and a 1,000 sq. yard land in her hometown.

Chandrababu Naidu met the spinner and congratulated the cricketer for her performance in the global tournament, calling her success a proud moment for Andhra Pradesh.

She took 14 wickets and bowled important spells in big matches. In the final against South Africa, Charani dismissed Anneke Bosch for a duck. She was welcomed by the state ministers, officials of the Andhra Cricket Association and fans at the Gannavaram airport.

Charani’s family was not financially sound, but it didn’t stop her from moving forward in her career.

She has become a role model for young cricketers.
