Father-son duo created history. (Photo- Cricket Indonesia)
Sometimes such moments come on the cricket field which create history. In international cricket, many such brother pairs have made headlines by playing cricket together. But now a father-son duo has entered international cricket, which was never seen before in the history of international cricket. The special thing is that the father-son duo has debuted together in international cricket, which is even more surprising.
Actually, this special moment was seen in the ongoing T20I tri-series in Indonesia. The first match of this series was played between the teams of Timor-Leste and Indonesia. This was also Timor-Leste's first international match. In this match, 50-year-old experienced player Suhail Sattar and his 17-year-old son Yahya Suhail made their international debut for Timor-Leste. With this, they became the first father-son duo to play in an international match and share the pitch with each other.
Suhail Sattar is considered a legend of Timor-Leste cricket. Even at the age of 50, his spirit is amazing. At the same time, his son Yahya Suhail has made a place in the team at a young age. But this match was nothing special for these two players. Suhail Sattar could play only 11 runs in 15 balls. On the other hand, his son Yahya Suhail was run out after scoring 1 run in 6 balls. Suhail Sattar also bowled one over, in which he gave 11 runs without taking any wicket.
At the same time, the team of a small nation like Timor-Leste has entered international cricket, but the initial journey was difficult. The team had to face defeat by 10 wickets each time in the first two matches, which were full of challenges. In the first match, Indonesia defeated Timor-Leste by 10 wickets. After this, in the second match, it also won against Myanmar by 10 wickets. In this match also, Yahya Suhail could score only 2 runs and Suhail Sattar could not even open his account.
