IPL 2026 auction will be held abroad

BCCI has taken a big decision on when and where the IPL auction will take place. IPL 2026 auction is going to be held abroad. This will be the third consecutive time that the auction will be held outside India. Earlier it took place in Dubai in the year 2023 and in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the year 2024.

According to a PTI report, the auction for IPL 2026 will be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. A senior BCCI official himself has given this information. After the mega auction held in Saudi Arabia last year, this time a mini auction will be seen.

When will IPL 2026 auction take place?

“Abu Dhabi has been selected as the auction venue,” a senior BCCI official told PTI. According to the report, the auction is likely to be held on December 15 or 16. However, no official announcement has been made by BCCI regarding this yet. Official confirmation will come only after BCCI’s statement. It remains to be seen when BCCI makes an official announcement regarding this.
